For the next two weekends, the Rock River Players are thrilled to present “HARVEY,” the classic screwball comedy about Elwood P. Dowd and his best friend, an invisible human-sized white rabbit.
Mary Chase’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play first graced the stage in the early 1940s, an era that bore witness to seismic shifts in the world. Much like today, the world back then stood at crossroads, where rapidly changing dynamics shaped society’s core beliefs. Yet, amidst all the changes since, the human need for acceptance, understanding, and a sense of belonging has remained ever-constant.
Come delight in a story with a lot of heart and a bit of magic – one that can inspire us all to be open-hearted in this ever-evolving world.
