Producer Peter Brousard says, “Prepare for a night of laughter and spontaneity –each show unlike any other done at the Williamsville Hall. Soak in the creative energy of unscripted acting.
“I’ve been doing improv since I was born,” Broussard, an actor with and lighting director for the RRP explains. “In a way everyone has, but I was always known as an impromptu storyteller. When I was formally introduced to Improv in 2014 by the summer theater camp hosted at Leland and Gray, I fell in love. Improv has become a passion and a way of life for me. After joining the RRP, I dreamed of starting an improv team. That dream came to life with the support of the RRP and the help of two people who taught me improv over the years: Annie Landenberger, who helped me organize and brainstorm ideas for this group, and Karlie Kauffeld, the person who introduced me to everything I know about improv. She’d come last January from Burlington to lead a second all-day improv workshop, a training that formed the initial RRP improv group.”
Broussard, one among the improvisers, will be joined by Rose Watson, John Moran, John Orgorzalek, Sue Kelly, Nick Morgan, Sean Fitzharris—and a surprise or two.
“We hope improv and comedy lovers will come see the culmination of a season of improv sessions with these players and others,” urges Broussard. For him, “it fulfills a decade of passion.”
